Tännforsen – Largest waterfall in Sweden

The waterfall in Tännforsen is always open and free to visit. Please use caution, clothing and shoes after circumstances. Closest distance to waterfall from parking is 200m. No lightning is provided around the walkways.

A service fee of 30 SEK per hour/ car is charged, for open restrooms when possible, and garbage handling. Please respect this as the option is an unclean environment for all guests.

Tännforsens Turiststation – Service & bookings

Service at station is open for summer 2023 and closes 2:nd of October. No booked arrangements possible.

Pilgrim / S:t Olavsleden

Short information about the pilgrim house in Tännforsen. Bookings for season 2023 possible. Stay possible for multiple days.

The house has 4+4 beds in two separate rooms and WC/ Shower/ Washing machine, fully equipped kitchen. TV, WiFi.

Dinner, breakfast and lunch included in price.

Valid code on door for access after booking will be given when you call for confirmation a few days ahead of your arrival.

Please observe:
The housing is only available for pilgrims, with pilgrim-passports, walking the S:t Olavs-path.
No other guest are possible and here we recommend Bed&Breakfasts and Hotels in Åre/ Duved.

Motorhome

It is possible to stay at Tännforsen with Motor Home/ Ställplats. We have 9 ställplatser (spaces) with electricity and a service house with shower/WC. No booking ahead is required. Ticket can be paid in automat when arrived with credit card or in station when open. Please place ticket visible in car. In the evening when our daily guests has left you are able to use our garden for your evening arrangements.

No gray/ black water disposal.

Camping
Please respect that NO camping or campfires are allowed in the surroundings of Tännforsen. Guests with tents or caravan are referred to recommended campsites Rista Fallet or Åre Camping. Sleeping over in car not allowed.
